ANDY: THE MAN BEHIND THE MIC
About Me
The voiceover journey all started in the late '90s, when I started impersonating the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host Chris Tarrant at high school.
Over the following years, I developed other impressions including Sir David Attenborough, Beavis & Butt-Head, Austin Powers & Dr Evil, David Beckham and SpongeBob SquarePants, plus anything I could get my voice around!
I also developed accents, including Southern & Standard US, Texan/Cowboy, Mexican, Irish, Aussie, Canadian, English, Italian, Scottish and, of course, my own New Zealand accent and had a fantastic opportunity to break into radio and use that talent on air. The solo voiceover adventure kicked in around 2004.
My repertoire also covers the more "clear-cut" roles, including corporate, explainer, infomercial, straight/hard sell and telephone on-hold voiceovers.
Alongside the hardware store down the road, my voiceover journey boasts jobs for the likes of EMI, Universal, Nickelodeon, Sharp, Panasonic, Mitre 10 MEGA, Fonterra, Pepsi, Anchor, NZ Defence Force, St John, Fire and Emergency New Zealand and plenty more. Hear these examples and more on my DEMOs page.
